Same Day Edit Video

Last weekend this beautiful couple said their vows at Viaggio Winery. Not only did they use Elegant Events Media to capture their big day but they also chose Elegant Events Media to produce a same day edit wedding video.

What is a same day edit video you ask? This video is when the videographer has about 3 hours to finish your wedding video before your guests leave. Can you say pressure?!  In some cases (like this one), they are played during the first dances. It's not often these videos come about but when they do, our team is ready for the challenge. Our skilled videographers work diligently to produce the best of the best. Watch for yourself!

Summer Wedding Tips

Mettler Family Vineyards features a tasting room and event center that is located on 7 acres. It's a beautiful venue located in Lodi CA, but one thing we all know is California is known for it's sunny weather. You would never know that this wedding at Mettler was right in the heat of summer. Not to mention, the bride had gotten sick and someone collapsed during dinner. Despite the weather putting a damper on things, the wedding was a huge success and turned out beautifully. The bride got hydrated and danced her way back out to the reception area.

Here are some tips on how to survive a summer heat wave at your wedding!

  • Hydrate!

Guests go to weddings to enjoy wine and other alcoholic beverages but before cocktail hour starts, have plenty of water present. Many planners recommended using decorative pitchers of flavored water at the entrance of your outdoor ceremony.

  • Chairs!

If your ceremony is outside, it's likely the chairs are going to be hot when your guests take a seat. It's a good idea to get seat covers or fabric cushions to avoid someone burning their legs.

  • Plan the time!

If possible, push the ceremony back late. Consider a sunset wedding, keep it short and sweet.

  • Additional tips!

Consider leaving sunscreen out (especially for the little ones), sunglasses (some companies will even add your name and wedding date to them),  and lastly, plan your look accordingly. If you know it's going to be hot, don't buy a heavy wedding dressing. Plan to keep your hair up and definitely consider sweat proof make up.

Sacramento Wedding Transportation

Planning for your Sacramento wedding means that you'll have to choose a plethora of vendors, and this is
often the most intimidating part of the process. However, you'll find that once you begin tackling the
larger parts of the event, it becomes a whole lot easier. After choosing your venue, one of the first
services to start researching is your transportation vendor. It's quite important to pay close attention to
who to hire for this specific aspect of the wedding, as it's vital to the success of your event.

There are many ways to consider utilizing California Party Buses as it relates to your wedding, though it's
most commonly used for getting the wedding party around to different destinations throughout the day.
No matter what you decide to use transportation for, you'll see that it's quite important to the integrity of
your event. But how do you find the right company for the job when there's such an array to choose from?

Choosing your transportation vendor doesn't have to be hard when you keep a couple

of things in mind.
First, any company that isn't willing to show you their vehicles in person is one that you shouldn't
consider. There are many reasons why an unsatisfactory company wouldn't want customers in their
garage, but a transparent business is happy to show you exactly what you'll be spending time in on one of
the most important days of your life.

When you've chosen a company to do business with, the contract you sign to finalize your decision is
quite important. It contains all of the details you'll need and offers a reference point if there's every any
confusion in the future. Keep your eyes peeled for any tricky wording when it comes to structure of fees,
as you don't want any extra financial surprises on your wedding day...unless they're in the form of gifts, of
course. Keeping these tips in mind is sure to lead you to the best possible wedding transportation in the

Questions To Ask Your Wedding DJ

Hiring a DJ and hiring a wedding DJ can be two different things depending on your sense of style. Understand that most DJ's have their niche and it's not always easy to step outside their comfort zone if they don't commonly do weddings. Someone more experienced in that field will have a better understanding of how a wedding should pan out. Elegant Events Media uses wedding professionals but each of our DJ's have their own flair.

To determine which style is best for you, consider asking some of the following questions:

  • Is this a full-time career? What is your style/primary niche? (Weddings? Clubs? Parties?)
  • What's your way of getting the crowd pumped up?
  • How do you handle song requests?
  • Can you be the master of ceremonies?
  • Is your style more energetic or do you stick to yourself?
  • Have you played at our venue before?
  • Do you have a reel?
  • Do you use lighting or any of that special equipment?

Choosing A Wedding Photographer

Choosing a good wedding photographer is crucial but hard. They have one chance to cover this event, so they better do it right. The saying "good isn't cheap, and cheap isn't good" can fit into play when determining who is going to be the lucky photographer that will shoot one of the biggest days of your life.

Here are some things to keep in mind:

  • What style is YOUR style?

Because not every bride is alike, we like to have photographers on staff that would best accommodate everyone's sense of style. When choosing your photographer, determine your style. What is it that you like in photos? Are you more of a candid person or more of portraiture? Would you prefer to have someone who is heavy on the editing or someone that doesn't edit much at all? Have these things sorted out prior to your search.

Google is your best friend. Use the internet to look for reviews on anyone that you are considering, ask friends for recommendations and check social media for a glimpse of the photographers personality. After all, you will be spending a day with him!

  • Preview full wedding albums.

If you like what you see on their website, ask for more. You'll want to see a full wedding album as an example of how they cover an entire wedding ceremony.

  • Ask about your rights!

Elegant Events Media is known for giving brides all of the rights to their photos. This means the images are watermark free and you own all copyrights to printing. A lot of photographers will not remove their watermark without an additional cost. This is something you need to find out before hand. Otherwise, you will not be able to legally print your images.

Additional questions to consider:

  1. How many images will I get?
  2. How many are edited?
  3. Does my engagement shoot come with it?
  4. How long does it take to get my images back?
  5. How many hours should I book my photographer for?
  6. Do you shoot weddings often?
  7. Have you shot at my venue before?
